MCP tool reference

Every tool an AI assistant can use through the Subcontext MCP server, by permission group.

These are the tools an AI assistant can use once you connect it to your Subcontext account (how to connect one). The list is made from the MCP server itself, so it always matches what the server offers.

Each group of tools is one permission (an OAuth scope) that you grant, or don't, on the consent screen. The consent screen bundles the groups into the areas below; tick an area to grant all of its groups, or open Fine-tune to pick single groups. Read tools work with Read only or Read & write access; write tools only with Read & write. Whatever you grant, a tool can never do more than your own role in the organisation allows.

Product configuration

Design insurance products and put them on sale: the products, their covers, the question journeys and how quotes are presented, the documents customers receive, what happens automatically at key moments, the releases that make changes live, and your mini-sites. Ticked for you on the consent screen.

Insurance operations

Run the policies you've sold: the sales pipeline (applications and quotes), policies (cancel, change, resend documents), customers, claims, premium payments and refunds, reinsurance (treaties, cessions, rule packs) and loyalty programmes (members, points, tiers). Not ticked until you tick it.

Customer CRM

Read and add to the CRM: leads, what you know about each of them, the timeline, pipeline stages and owners, the fields you record, campaigns and the lead forms and quote forms on your website, outcomes (what each lead bought and what it earned) and outreach. Facts the assistant writes are marked as written by an agent, and the whole team sees them. Not ticked until you tick it.
