More people now ask ChatGPT, Claude or their browser's AI to find cover for them. By the end of this guide those assistants can register interest, book callbacks and, where you quote, compare prices with your firm, and you can see what they asked and which leads came in.
You'll need
- Agent access, which comes with the Professional and Enterprise plans. See Plans.
- The owner or manager role.
- An agent with a promoted (live) version. Its persona speaks for you and its policies screen every call.
- Quote tools only appear if you quote through Subcontext.
Start at Agent access
Open Agent access. Each card shows how many you've set up, with Manage ChatGPT apps, Manage Claude apps, Manage WebMCP tools, Manage agent card and View insights.
Publish a ChatGPT or Claude app
- Open ChatGPT apps or Claude apps and press New ChatGPT app or New Claude app.
- Give it a Name (usually your firm), any guidance on tone, and the Agent behind the app. Leave Enabled on, tick the Tools it offers, and press Create ChatGPT app (or Create Claude app).
- Configure a tool to set its options, such as which products it prices.
- Copy the Connector URL from the app page:
- In ChatGPT: Settings > Apps & Connectors > Advanced > Developer mode > Create, then choose No authentication.
- In Claude: Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector. Paste the URL with no trailing slash and leave authentication off.
- To list the app or share it as a plugin, press Edit package. Fill in the listing, logo and skill, press Save, then Download plugin.
Add WebMCP tools to your website
- Open WebMCP tools and press New integration.
- Give it a Name and the Websites where it's embedded, one per line, such as https://www.yoursite.com. Only pages on those websites can use the tools. Press Create integration.
- Tick the tools it offers, Configure any that need options, and press Save.
- Paste the Snippet onto those pages. If the key ever leaks, Rotate key and update the snippet.
Publish an A2A agent card
- Open A2A and press New integration.
- Set a Name, an optional Card description, where it's Served from (a site Subcontext hosts, or leave it unassigned) and the Agent that answers. Press Create integration.
- If you host the card yourself, press Download agent-card.json and put the file at /.well-known/agent-card.json on your website.
Hear about new leads
In notification settings, switch on ChatGPT app lead, ChatGPT app callback, Claude app lead and Claude app callback, then Save Preferences.
See what people ask
- Open Insights > Conversations, choose the period with the date button at the top, and open the Agent access tab.
- The headline figures show Agent actions, Questions answered, Leads captured and Callbacks booked.
- Top questions asked is a good source of ideas for your agent's knowledge. Recent activity lists the last 20 calls.
- The leads themselves are in Leads, and the conversations are in the inbox under the ChatGPT, Claude, WebMCP and A2A channels.
Check it worked
Add your own connector in ChatGPT or Claude and ask it to book a callback. The callback should appear in the inbox, and the call in Recent activity on the insights page.
If something goes wrong
- Every call is refused: check the app or integration is Enabled and your agent has a live version.
- Insights stays empty for WebMCP: browser support is still rolling out, so it can take a while.
